The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are a brand new type of item that can provide an increase in your stats. They can be used to upgrade armor, trinkets and weapons.
Upgrades to items use a system called "upgrade pity" to determine probabilities. This system is designed to limit the chances of losing and provide an adequate safety net when upgrading.
Armor

Upgrades to your PvE gear are account-wide while upgrades for PvP gear requires a specific currency, such as [Valorstones or [Harbinger Crestsor [Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade any additional gear in an armor slot decreases after the initial upgrade.
Weapons
Weapons are a crucial element of any successful character. They can be used to fend off an evil monster, kill an intruder, or win a target-shooting competition. They can also hang on the wall.
